Lot 722 Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerless .32 ACP #63768

American made vintage semiautomatic single-action pistol chambered for .32 Automatic Colt Pistol, manufactured circa 1907 in Hartford, CT. This is a Type-I variation with the four inch barrel length and the barrel bushing. Pistol features a gloss blued finish, 4" barrel, fixed blade front sight, dovetailed 'U' notched rear sight, niter-blue solid smooth curved trigger, color-case smooth recoil spring plug, concealed hammer, checkered niter-blue manual safety/slide stop, smooth grip safety, checkered heel magazine release, and checkered black hard rubber grips with embossed Colt banners and Rampant Colt logos. Most of the pistol is blued with many of the small components possessing a niter-blue finish. The blued finish retained is approximately 85% with edge wear, thinning primarily on the grip safety, and light scattered scratches. Metal displays scattered pitting and a few small spots of rust, but there are no observations of deformation. Bore is frosty, or dirty with strong rifling. Colt markings are sharp. Grips are in excellent condition. We cannot determine if the blued finish is original. The action is crisp and smooth.
